For runners and runners in the 2025 race
Hello everyone, my name is Boaz Yaakov, founder and director of the "Running in Their Memory" project.
This year we experienced a particularly difficult year.
A year in which we were once again forced to fight for our lives in our beautiful country.
A year in which I, personally, like a huge part of our country, took part in the fighting in various sectors.
Even today, after 20 years of active reserve service, we are dragged into intense combat against a cruel enemy, and unfortunately many of our brothers and friends are injured and even killed.
About the Project
The "Running in Their Memory" project is a unique commemorative project.
This is a race where at five o'clock at the end of Memorial Day, we will all go out to paint the streets blue and white in honor of the fallen.
In the "Run for Their Memory" race, there is no music or a start sign, no times are measured, and there are no winners or losers.
This is a race in which everyone runs with one national intention - to remember the fallen.
Behind the project is the "Derech Haraglaim" association, which aims to sustain the project and develop it every year and turn it into a national project, as well as to donate through the project's income to organizations and associations that work to promote social issues in Israel through sports activity.
Especially this year - we are all running in their memory.

Together we will create shared national and public solidarity this year as well.
This year, we are continuing the project for Jewish and Israeli communities around the world in collaboration with the Department of Organization and Liaison with Israelis in the Diaspora at the World Zionist Organization.
How do you join the run?

We receive countless inquiries about various organizations that have been holding the race for years, especially from military and educational settings, but are without a budget and the ability to purchase for the participants.
Every year we set aside a budget for those bodies, but year after year the involvement increases, and we want to allow everyone to participate in the project.
Here you can help us and them, and donate to the organizations that request funding from us.
Every donation of 10 NIS will allow for additional memories of the fallen.
